Theology of the Body Teaching Day in Birmingham

The CMA Youth welcomes all CMA members and Catholic Healthcare professionals, trainees and students of all ages to come for an exciting day of teaching on St Pope John Paul II’s Theology of the Body.

This one-day event will include talks from the founders of the TOB Network UK, Fr David Marsden SJ & Dr Christine Ward PhD, and will include the application of this in the areas of contraception and gender issues. We will begin the day with Holy Mass, with opportunities for discussions, networking and lunch (finger foods).

Hope In Adversity – CMA Youth Day Retreat

How do you cope with adversity and what gives you hope in such circumstances?

We’d like to invite you to our next CMA in-person event taking place on Saturday 22nd March, from 11am – a day of recollection in St Aloysius Church in Euston, London. The theme of the day is ‘Hope’, in keeping with the theme of the Jubilee year of Hope and also a topic that is particularly relevant in view of the current proposal of a potential change in the law on Assisted suicide.

Fr Tom Lynch, who has spoken at previous events arranged by the former youth branch, will be giving a talk on ‘Hope in Adversity’ followed by a time of reflecting on and discussing questions arising from the talk as it applies both to us and to our work as healthcare students, trainees and professionals.

We hope attendees will enjoy meeting one another and spending time together over the lunch break. The afternoon will be a time for prayer, Mass and reflection, focused on Our Lord Jesus. Saturday November 9^th 2024

As the number and type of ethical challenge in professional healthcare steadily increases, it can seem a lonely place for Christians. This CMA Youth Conference is designed to offer support and encouragement to the more junior health-workers and students helping them to live out their Christian vocation in the caring professions.

Speakers will be a mix of experienced health professionals and pro-life advocates addressing a variety of topics likely to be of interest and help to Christian health-workers and students.

There will be ample opportunity to network with colleagues, make new friends and become involved with the future development of the CMA.

The fee for the entire day is only £10 including lunch and all refreshments. Holy Mass will be celebrated before lunch and priests will be available for confession.
